Hi @benadoo,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

A solid amber light on the HP Envy 6452 printer often indicates a hardware issue. The flashing error light can be a bit more specific about the problem. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try.

Check for Paper Jams:

  • Open the printer’s paper tray and check for any jammed paper or foreign objects. Remove any that you find.

Inspect the Ink Cartridges:

  • Open the ink cartridge access door and make sure the cartridges are properly installed. Remove and reinsert them if necessary. Also, check for any protective tape that might still be on the cartridges.

Check for Printhead Issues:

  • If the error persists, the printhead might need cleaning. Consult your printer’s manual for instructions on how to clean the printhead.

Reset the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source. Wait for about 60 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on.

Firmware Update:

  • Check if there’s a firmware update available for your printer. Sometimes, updating the firmware can resolve hardware issues.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
