Hi @Emnauel18,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
Having trouble with your HP printer connecting to your wireless router can be frustrating, but let's try some troubleshooting steps to resolve the issue.
Restart Devices: Sometimes a simple restart can fix connectivity issues. Restart both your HP printer and your wireless router. Wait a few minutes before turning them back on.
Check Wireless Connection: Ensure that your printer is within the range of your wireless router. The signal strength might affect the connectivity.
Verify Wireless Settings:
- On your HP printer, navigate to the Wireless or Network settings menu. Check if the printer detects your wireless network.
- Make sure your printer is connected to the correct SSID (network name) and that you've entered the correct wireless password.
Update Printer Firmware: Outdated firmware can cause connectivity problems. Check HP's official website for your printer model and update the firmware if necessary.
Restart Printer's Wireless Connection:
- On the printer, turn off the wireless connection.
- Wait for a few seconds and then turn it back on.
- Allow the printer to search for available networks and reconnect to your wireless network.
Router Settings:
- Access your wireless router's settings through a web browser (typically by typing the router's IP address into the address bar).
- Ensure that the wireless settings (such as security type and passphrase) are correctly configured and compatible with your printer.
Firewall/Antivirus Settings: Sometimes firewall or antivirus settings can block the printer's connection. Temporarily disable them and see if the printer can connect.
Printer Driver: Ensure that the printer driver installed on your computer is up-to-date. Sometimes an outdated driver can cause connectivity issues.
Manual Setup: If automatic setup doesn't work, try manually entering your wireless network settings (SSID, security type, password) into the printer's setup menu.
Reset Printer Network Settings: As a last resort, you can reset the printer's network settings to default and set it up again from scratch.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
