Hi @Lara_,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
To update the network settings on your HP DeskJet 3772 All-In-One Printer after a move to a new apartment and a change in your network name, follow these steps.
Reset Network Settings on the Printer
- Power on the printer.
- Open the printer’s control panel or screen.
- Go to the Setup menu (often represented by a wrench or gear icon).
- Select “Network” or “Wireless” settings.
- Choose “Restore Network Settings” or “Reset Network Settings” and confirm. This will clear the old network information.
Reconnect to New Network
- Ensure that your printer is turned on.
- On your computer or mobile device, ensure that you are connected to the new network.
- Open the HP Smart app on your computer or mobile device. If you don’t have it installed, download it from the HP website or app store.
Add Printer to HP Smart App
- Open the HP Smart app.
- Select “Add Printer” or the plus sign (+) to add a new printer.
- Follow the prompts to find and connect to your printer. The app should detect the printer and guide you through the connection process.
Install Printer on New Network
- If prompted, enter the new network name (SSID) and password.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup.
- Print a test page to ensure that the printer is properly connected to the new network.
Troubleshooting:
- If the printer doesn’t appear in the HP Smart app: Ensure that your printer is within range of your Wi-Fi network. You might need to reconnect your printer to Wi-Fi manually via its control panel if it doesn’t show up in the app.
- If you have trouble connecting: Restart your printer, router, and computer, then try the setup process again.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
