I have a series 3635 all in one printer connected to wifi. My laptop prints to it with no problems. However my samsung tablet and phone will not. I have tried all suggestions in troubleshoot. Hpsmart/plugin tell me the printer is not available. Samsung print service say the same.
I object strongly to the idea of buying a new printer when this one works well. Any ideas gratefully accepted

Hi @suecha,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP DeskJet 3635 All-in-One printer is working fine with your laptop but not with your Samsung tablet and phone, here are some troubleshooting steps to help resolve the issue:
1. Check Printer and Device Connection
Ensure Printer is Connected to Wi-Fi:
- Verify that your HP DeskJet 3635 is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your Samsung tablet and phone.
- Print a network configuration page from your printer to confirm its network connection. This can usually be done from the printer's control panel under Setup or Network.
- Ensure your Samsung tablet and phone are connected to the same Wi-Fi network as the printer.
2. Restart Devices
- Power off your HP DeskJet 3635, unplug it from the power source, wait for 30 seconds, plug it back in, and turn it on.
- Restart your Samsung tablet and phone to refresh their network connections.
3. Update Printer Firmware
- Check for Firmware Updates:
- Go to the HP Support website and search for your HP DeskJet 3635 model.
- Download and install any available firmware updates for the printer.
4. Reinstall HP Smart App
- Uninstall: On your Samsung tablet and phone, uninstall the HP Smart app or any other print-related apps.
- Reinstall: Download and reinstall the HP Smart app from the Google Play Store.
- Open the HP Smart app and follow the instructions to set up your HP DeskJet 3635.
- Make sure the app detects your printer on the network.
5. Use Samsung Print Service Plugin
- Go to the Google Play Store on your Samsung tablet and phone and check if there’s an update available for the Samsung Print Service Plugin.
- Install any updates.
- Go to Settings > Connections > More connection settings > Printing on your Samsung device.
- Ensure the Samsung Print Service Plugin is enabled.
- If necessary, tap Default Print Service and ensure it’s set to find printers on your network.
6. Check Printer Visibility
Ensure Printer is Discoverable:
- Make sure the printer's Wi-Fi settings allow it to be discovered by other devices on the network.
- This is typically managed through the printer’s settings menu.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
