Hi @Sourisseau

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If you're having trouble connecting your HP printer (like your HP ENVY Pro 6455) to Wi-Fi, there are several steps you can try to resolve the issue. Here's a detailed guide on how to troubleshoot and connect your printer to Wi-Fi.

1. Ensure Wi-Fi is Enabled on Your Printer

Make sure your printer has Wi-Fi enabled. On most HP printers, you can check the Wi-Fi settings through the control panel on the printer.

  • On the Printer Control Panel:
    • Press the Wi-Fi button (or go to Wireless Settings or Network Settings) on the printer's display screen.
    • If there is a Wi-Fi icon on the display that is not highlighted, you may need to press it to activate the Wi-Fi feature.

2. Check the Wi-Fi Network

Ensure your Wi-Fi network is working properly, and your printer is trying to connect to the correct network.

Make Sure You Are Connecting to the Right Network: If you have multiple networks in your area (for example, a 2.4GHz and a 5GHz network), make sure you are connecting to the correct one that your printer supports. Most printers like the HP ENVY Pro 6455 work on the 2.4GHz band, so it's best to make sure you're trying to connect to that network.

Check for Network Issues: Ensure the router is working properly and that there are no disruptions in the network. Check that other devices (smartphones, laptops, etc.) can connect to Wi-Fi without issues.

3. Use the HP Smart App to Connect to Wi-Fi

The HP Smart App is a convenient way to connect your printer to Wi-Fi.

Download and Install the HP Smart App:

  • For Windows: Go to the Microsoft Store and search for HP Smart to download it.
  • For macOS: You can download HP Smart from the Mac App Store.
  • For mobile devices: You can also download the HP Smart app for iOS or Android from their respective app stores.

Open the HP Smart App and sign in with your HP account or create one if you don’t have one yet.

Add a Printer:

  • Tap on Add Printer in the app.
  • The app will search for printers on the same network.
  • Select your printer from the list of detected printers and follow the on-screen instructions to connect it to your Wi-Fi.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
