I have a similar issue.

I was using the printer the whole last year, 2 weeks ago we changed the wifi network and successfully updated the setting for ePrint through iPhone Airport Utility configuration (I have AirPort Express router, used "Add WPS printer" function). The printer was printing as usual for a week and then I switched the power off for 5 minutes. Once I turned it on, I got the similar message the other users described and nothing is printing since then.

Additional info:

1) Printer: HP LaserJet Profesisonal M1217nfw MFP

2) Laptop: MacAir, operating system Windows 7 Home Premium

3) Message "No Strings in R0" showing twice in 2 lines on printer display

4) top 4 lights blinking after I restart printer for a while, then only the top light is steadily on

5) I can make a copy

6) I can't update the firmware, as in the middle of upgrading process, I get the error message saying " HP Printer Update cannot communicate with the product. The product might have changed network settings as a result of the firmware update or it might be restarting." (tried the same procedure with other laptop, same result).

Unplugging power cord both from printer and wall outlet doesn't help.

Please advise what to do.

Hey,

thanks for your answer!

However, no luck so far. I cannot update the firmware since it says it cannot communicate.

Please send your Secret Squiral private message to fix this issue. Post Haste!

I'm running a business and the last thing I need is to make invoices by hand.

Dears,

I have the same problem as the above. But now the displayed is blank and no light is on.

If I switch it off, disconnect the power cord and wait for some seconds, then when I switch it on again the displays remains blank but the three lights are solid.

I would much appreciate your help on this.

Thanks!
