HI @Richard2017

Did you manage to install the software successfully and got to the HP Scan software?

Thanks.

Yes, I can get through to it if I open printer and "set preferences."  But I don't see any options for scanning and/or sheet-fed scanning.

Hi,

Was the HP Software installed?

If it was installed, there should be an icon on the Desktop. Click on it and it will bring up the HP Printer Assistant.

Select Scan and you should see the same scan layout shown.

Thanks.

I will do it again.  This will be the third time this past month.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news , but I still have the same exact problem.

First, though installed, it did NOT place an icon on my desk top or in the program list.  There was another one from installations before, but if you click on that if only restarts the installation )process driversetup.exe) from the beginning.

If you can provide the exact name of program that is supposed to open, I will see if I can open it.

 Hi @Richard2017

Here's how to create a scan shortcut for Win 10.

Create a scan shortcut and high resolution scans  (HP Officejet Pro 8700 AiO series and 6900 series)

(different printers but the steps are the same)

Hope rhat helps!

Good grief, folks.  I have done that, too.

This returns me to the initial problem.

I can print to the network (hardwired) printer.  I can scan from the printer from the glass.

However, I cannot get the doc feeder scanner to scan from the computer.  Note the feeder works - it will copy from the feeder.

Now, when I click from the HPscan.exe, I get Unable to Communicate with scanner.  I have run fix maybe 20 times with no results.  Note:  I can still print from the computer to the printer and can still scan from printer/scanner to the computer via network.

As I have pointed out MANY times, I cannot seem to access the options about document feeder, which I could access before the Windows 10 update.

Help, please.
