Help! When clearing a paper jam from the rear of my HP Photosmart 7520 printer, unfortunately, one of the parts of the paper guides came out with the jammed paper. I do not know how goes back in and the printer is continuously in a paper jam state.

Would one of you folks remove the duplexer from the rear of your 7520, take a digital photo of the rear insidess, and email to me at [Personal Information Removed]
? I will be most grateful to you. petzelj

Hi @petzelj,

Thanks for visiting the HP community.  A good day to you. I came across your post where you require assistance regarding paper jam issues with the printer. I will be delighted to assist you here.

Splendid effort and superb description of the issue. Kudos to you on that score.

  • Did this happen after a power outage or power surge?
  • Did you bypass power strips and connect the printer directly to the wall outlet?

Please try all the prescribed steps from this link: https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-photosmart-7520-e-all-in-one-printer-series/5199461/model/51... for paper jam related issues.

  • Solution one: Turn the All-in-One off and on again
  • Solution two: Clear the jam from the All-in-One
  • Solution three: Make sure that the carriage can move freely
  • Solution four: Clean the paper rollers
  • Solution five: Reset the All-in-One
  • Solution six: Service the All-in-One

Please perform all these steps patiently as it is critical to resolving the issue. The trick is to remain patient, please.

If the issue continues, then the printer has a hardware issue and needs to be replaced by contacting hp phone support.
