I have an HP Officejet 6500A and have a Windows 10 operating system on a Dell Inspiron 15R. The printer does not print black ink. I have genuine HP cartridges and the black cartridge is about 75% full. It was working properly until this morning. I have down loaded your trouble shooter and all appears to be fine. I have run the head cleaner program several times, but I still can not get black ink on a page. The other colors are fine. After the second head cleaning I got a very faint black image, but subsequent head cleanings resulted in no black ink. I made sure the vent was clear on the cartridge and this issue occurs with both hard wired and wireless connections. Once before this happened and when I replaced the cartidge, it worked. After reading some of the messages on the board, this appears not to be the solution. I am also reluctant to throw away a cartridge that is only 25% used. Can you help?

I understand you are having printing issues on your HP printer. I'll be really glad to help you with this,
Kudos to you for trying out the steps before reaching out to us.
To provide you with an accurate solution, I'll need a few more details:
What is the Product number of the printer and Operating System installed on the PC?
Are you using genuine HP ink cartridges?
Are you able to make a copy from the printer?
In the meantime, let's try these steps here:
Please make sure that the printer is connected directly to the wall outlet and not to the surge protector.
Remove all the ink cartridges and then try to perform a hard reset on the printer.
With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer and also unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
Remove USB cable, if present.
Wait for 2-3 minutes, press and hold the power button on your printer for about 30 seconds to remove any additional charge.
Now plug back the power cable straight to a wall outlet without any surge protector or an extension cord and then plug back the power cord to the printer.
Turn on the printer and wait till warm-up period finishes and the printer is idle.
Now insert the ink cartridges and then try to print a test page and check if it works.
