Black Ink problem

I have a HP Photosmart 5520 that has stopped printing in black. Having replaced the ink cartridge with a genuine HP cartridge it still refuses to print in black. I have done upteen clean printheadts to ne effect. When I print out my Print diagnostics page, this prints in black, but the colour block for the black is plain, with no colour at all.

I feel this must be an ongoning problem for HP as I returned my last Photosmart for the same reason.

Re: Black Ink problem

Having contacted HP, they are arranging for a replacement unit to be shipped to me and at the same time they will take away the faulty printer. It was 10 days short of its warranty running out. Close call.

Re: Black Ink problem

I would advise calling HP Support about this, even if the printer is out of warranty, as you may require a replacement.
