HP 6520
Mac OS X 10.10 Yosemite

When I print on my HP 6520, nothing-the page is blank. However when I print a "Print Quality Diagnostic", everything is working properly, (ie. ink levels). If I print an email containing color, that prints fine but the (black) lettering doesn't print. No error messages pop up. It just stopped printing words. My black ink is full, btw.

Hey there! @mustanggigi, Thanks for stopping by HP forums!

I understand when you print from your printer the pages print blank.

Don't worry I'll try to help you out.

Did you make any changes to your printer?

Are you able to make a copy from your printer?

Please try the steps recommended below.

Click the Apple menu, and then click System Preferences.
Click Printers & Scanners, Print & Scan, or Print & Fax.
Right-click (or Control + click) anywhere inside the Printers window, and then click Reset printing system.
Click Reset or OK.
If prompted, type your username and password, and then click OK.
The printing system resets.
Turn off the printer, wait 5 seconds, and then turn on the printer.
Wait until the printer is idle and silent.
In the Printers window on the Mac, click the Add button.
Select your printer from the list, and then click Add.

Let me know if this works!

Have a great day ahead! 🙂

Hi @mustanggigi,

Thank you for your reply, I'll be more than glad to help you.

I understand that the issue still persists after following the steps provided in the previous interaction.

Let me jump in with a solution for this issue in place of my colleague as he is out of the office today.

This issue could occur if the nozzles of the printhead that print in black are damaged or not working.

Don't worry as I have a few steps that should help fix this issue.

And here's the step by step guide for you in the link: Black Ink Not Printing and Other Print Quality Issues

Let me know if this works.

You have a good day ahead.
