Product: HP 8600 Pro Plus
Operating System: macOS 10.12 Sierra

I want blank paper in tray #1 and Shipping Label stock in tray #2 for purposes of printing an order from tray #1 and a shipping label from tray #2.  Can this be done by software or from option on print screen?

Welcome to HP Support Forum. Please use from application where you print shipping labels and set tray 2 as default

I apologize if my question was not clear.  I would like plain paper in tray #1 and label stock in tray #2.  From a remote location, using the wifi I want to print the order from tray #1 and the label from tray #2.

 

I only want to purchase the 2nd tray if I can alternate between the trays to print from from the 'print' screen or something easily similar;  not resetting the default tray each time. or having to go to the printer, except to pick up the order and label.

 

I currently have 2 HP 8600 Pro Plus printers with paper in one and label stock in the other, I would like to consolidate to one printer.

 

If the printer only prints from the default tray until it is empty or removed, then prints from the other tray, it is not suitable for my use.  Both the order and the label are coming from sellercentral.Amazon.com via Firefox and the print command Firefox>File>Print.
