I have a 8500 running wireless. Resently change from wired. Prints from all user applications except from HP Solution Center. It says 'no printer connected'. Solution Center does not know it's there.

Greetings!AS you have installed / connected it via a differnt mode, you should be able to see a second instance of the same printer in Solution Center.
Yet if that is not the case please use the troubleshooting steps in the given link.
