Can't Update

My printer will not update. the pop up says The application failed due to  missing software library. You may need to reinstall the application again.  The application will exit. HPSU-0004

Before making any changes to your system, create a Restore Point

(How to) Create Restore Point

Stop all programs:  Browsers, games, Applications, etc.

Control Panel > icon view > System > System Protection > 

Click (Highlight) your main disk (C) > Select Create a Restore Point

Next:

• If using a USB cable between the printer and the computer, disconnect the USB cable
• Uninstall the existing printer software from Control Panel > icon view >Programs and Features
• Restart the computer and log in
• Navigate to the (Downloads) folder in which you saved the full feature software installation file
• Double-click on the file to initiate the install procedure -- follow instructions
• If using a USB cable, connect the cable only when instructed (latter part of the installation)
• After the installation is complete, Restart the computer and log in
