Recently we had WOW cable installed in our home. They disconnected my modem to which my Wireless Hp 6100 eprinter was connected. I have Androids (Ver. 6.0.1) now and no longer have Windows software. Do you have some software I can use so I can connect my printer to my new network?

Hi,

A software to connect a printer via mobile devices is only available for later hp printers, not for the Officejet 6100.

 

I suggest configuring the printer via its EWS page as following:

  1. Reset the netowrk settings by holding both the WiFi and Cancel buttons on the printer for 3 seconds.
  2. Temporary connect the printer to your router with an ethernet cable, allow it up to a minute to connect.
  3. Print a network configuration page by pressing and holding the resume button (the one to the left of the cancel button) and then press the wireless button.
  4. Locate the IP or URL address of the printer and browse to it from your Android device.
  5. Open the Network tab.
  6. Within the Wireless Section select Wireless Setup Wizard and follow the steps on screen to connect your printer wirelessly to your new router.
  7. Once the connection completes unplug the ethernet cable from the printer, the blue wireless light should solid lit.
