Solved!

Can't uninstall any hp software, even with scrubber

Alright... I'm having problems with HP software (big surprise).  You guys may have good hardware but I've always had problem with your software...

Printer: OJ6500 E709n (Wireless printer)

OS: Windows 7 Pro

Here's my problem.  I ran into an issue with my printer not wanting to send scanned document over the network and after checking everything (router, firewall, etc, etc) I tried to re-install the driver and software OJ6500vE709_Full_14.exe but something happened and it crashed.

The problem is not the drivers because I can still print but I can't use or remove any of the software and still can’t use the scanner.  The programs appear in the "Programs and Features" but trying to uninstall them from there does nothing.

I ran the HP scrubber and nothing, the drivers are gone but the software’s are still there.

Here's the list of software I can't uninstall:

HP Customer Participation Program 14.0

HP Document Manager 2.0

HP Imaging Device Functions 14.0

HP Smart Web Printing 4.60

HP Solution Center 14.0

I could problem remove the registry entries but that could make things worst since I don't know which to remove.

Short of re-formatting I'm out of ideas.

I've fairly comfortable with computers so I just need to be pointed into the right direction.

Thanks!

Tried it ... but not in combination with the scrubber... it's worth the try.

Thas was intersting, it took me 30 min to delete all the registry entries but it got rid of everithing with no visible side effect.  However I'm still having problems installing the driver but that's another issue I'll deal with that one on my own.

Thanks for the help.

Make sure the flash player is up to date.

Disable any A/V software.
