HP DeskJet 3720
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I set up my new HP DeskJet 3720 All-in-One printer today but as yet have been unable to print. The Ink Alert light on the printer is flashing, indicating low ink or cartridge problems, and on checking the HP AiO Printer Remote App (Printer Information page) it shows the message 'Cartridge failure' - under the message is a square white icon labelled K which has a question mark in the top right hand corner, and also a square tri-colour icon labelled CMY. I would be grateful for any advice which solve this issue?

Hey there! @Neshabur, Thanks for stopping by HP forums!

I understand you are getting cartridge failure error on your printer.

Don't worry I'd love to help you out.

Did you make changes to your printer?

Have you tried replacing the empty cartridge on your printer?

Please try the steps recommended below.

Restarting the printer can resolve an ink cartridge error.
Turn on the printer, if it is not already on.
Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue.
With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
Wait at least 10 seconds.
Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
Turn on the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.
The printer might go through a warm-up period. The printer lights might flash, and the carriage might move.
Wait until the warm-up period finishes and your printer is idle and silent before you continue.
Try to print. If the error persists, continue to the next step.

Refer this article to further troubleshoot ink cartridges issues.

Let me know if this helps!

Happy Weekend ahead! 🙂
