Color not printing correctly

Using Snow Leopard 10.6 with Laserjet CP1518 in Office 2008:

The blue color on the screen is printing purple.  I updated the HP firmware, checked if ColorSync needed a repair, etc, etc but printer is still printing purple instead of blue.  Any suggestions please??  Thanks!

Start with the Diagnostics report.  (See solution 8 of this document (not mac specific))

If the diagnostics page looks good, start at the top of the document with any generic steps to review whether issue is not paper/media or application specific.

Colors not printing or inaccurate

Sealing tape still on the print cartridges

Print cartridge is damaged
Paper quality is poor, likely due to extremely high or low humidity
Color printing inconsistently after installing new cartridgeThe product is set to override the Replace <Color> Cartridge message and to continue printing
Another print cartridge is damaged
Colors on the printed page do not match the colors on the screenColors on the computer monitor might differ from the product output
Software program might interpret extremely light colors as white or extremely dark colors as black
