Solved!

Computer intermittently loses connection to HP 8625 printer

HP Recommended
HP Officejet Pro 8625
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

I had successfully installed the 8625 printer using the wireless connection. I can print to the 8625 and also to my wife's HP 7520 printer which is on the same network. Later in the day, without using or making any changes to the computer or printer,  I can't connect to the 8625, getting the message " Microsoft can't connect to the selected printer, the 8625. I can always connect to the 7520. I use the HP Print and Scan Doctor which fixes the problem immediately, saying everything checks out okay. Also, I'm not certain if my Windows 10 is 32 or 64 bit.

Hi,

Thanks for using the forum.

Can you download and install the FULL feature printer software from HP for Win 10?

You may want to consider using a Static IP address for your printer if it's constantly losing connection.

This relevant video will show you how ;

Hope that helps.
