HI

The printer is a HP DesignJet T770!

The problem is an error on the display 61:01 "Wrong file format. The printer cannot process the job." This error came with the new driver downloaded from HP website - and all four avalible drivers make the same error!

The driver downloaded is for Windows 2003 64 bit, but I tried to install the plotter directly on my workstation with windows 8 pro, but with same error!

Any ideas what's wrong??

Those types of errors generally happen when you are using a postscipt driver and your plotter is not a postscript model.   It will state it on the badge that says T770 if it is postscript or not.

Well, it's not a postscript printer, but I've tried all the avalible drivers and get the same error!

That seems a bit strange to me!

Have you tried using the built in drivers in Windows?  When you add a printer and it asks you for the disk, there is an icon next to it that says windows update, if you click on that it will load the entire cache of built in drivers, it takes 5 minutes or so, be patient, that I've found that sometimes those are the only drivers I can get to work.

Well, by accident I assigned the driver for DesignJet T1100, and it works!!!

Does'nt seems to be a logic solution but it works.

Thanks for all the help!

I'm glad you got that working, the T1100 is  just the big brother and previous model to the T770.  The T1200 replaced the T1100 and T1120.  Thanks for giving the update on the fix.

Thanks for the post! I had the same problem and also used the T1100 driver to resolve it!
