Depleted ink cartridge message

Jetpro 8500 A910, windows 7 64 bit

 

After putting in a new cartridge, I received a message on the printer stating it was successfully installed.  However, when I try to print I keep getting a message that the cartridge needs to be replaced.

 

I have tried turning the printer off and on and tried re-installing the cartridge several times without success.

 

Any suggestions/help is appreciated.
