Solved!

Designjet 450c not accepting media

HP Recommended

I have a 450c plotter which I have replaced the line sensor on the carriage.

This was replaced because I thought it was my problem as the sensor wasn't picking up the platen on the end of the roll and then wasn't picking up the edge of the paper when loading media.

The new sensor is doing the exact same.

What else would be the problem.

Really annoyed.

Hi,

not sure whether my suggestion can help, but you may try on it.

1. Check if the Media sensor is installed correctly, including the cable for the media sensor

2. Check if the Pincharm lever is up, it should be up.

3. If the media is rejected during the media edge checks, pls check on the line sensor is installed correctly

4. Make sure the line sensor is calibrated

5. Replace Media Sensor to test if media sensor problem

6. Replace the Carriage Assembly

Hope it is helpful and have a nice day. :smileyhappy:
