I recently switched ISPs and I need to reconnect my printer to my new network. In order to do that, it must be connected with a USB cord. I connected my laptop to the printer with the cord and continued through WiFi set up but it says that the password is wrong. I tried 3 times and confirmed the password both on my network and what I entered in on the printer set up. I don't know what to do next. I cannot leave my printer connected to my laptop and I can't find anything on the help pages. Does anyone know why I would be getting that error if my WiFi password is correct?

Hi @colleenhuth

Welcome to the HP Forums!

Thank you for posting your query in this forum, it's a great place to find answers.

I reviewed your post and I understand that you are unable to connect to your wireless network after changing the ISP.

Don’t worry, we will work together to resolve this issue and It’s a pleasure to assist you in this regard.

Follow below steps to reset the network settings on the printer and then try connecting the printer to your wireless network.

To reset the network defaults on the printer, hold down the Wireless and the Red X button simultaneously until the power button starts to blink, then release both buttons. The blue wireless light should be blinking.

Then try running the wireless setup wizard from the printer or from the computer.

Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!

The wireless light was already blinking, holding the power button and red x did nothing, the power button never started blinking. How long would I need to hold it down for?

Thanks for the reply and trying the suggested steps. Holding the wireless button and X button will reset the network settings on your printer.

As your printer does not have a display, recommend you connect the printer to your computer using a USB cable and convert the USB setup to wireless by following the procedure mentioned in this HP article

Keep me posted.
