Deskjet 2545

So ... I got a Deskjet 2545 All-in one printer/scanner and despite what the specs state at:

does NOT accept these 662 (XL or not) cartridges, forcing me to obtain the NON ORIGINAL / GENERIC 61 cartdriges ... as the ORIGINAL ones do NOT come to Brazil.

 

Please update the firmware so the "not compatible cartdrige" message is fixed so we can use the ORIGINAL 662 XL  cartdridges as stated on the site !!!

It sounds like the printer was originally set up in the US or some other country that used the 61 cartridge.  You will need to Contact HP to request a "Regionalization Reset". There should not be any charge for this, it is covered as part of the cartridge warranty. You will need to have access to your computer and printer while on the line with HP. You will also need to have a set of cartridges for the new region, once the reset is complete cartridges from the original region will no longer work.  HP's web page on the subject is here.
