Deskjet 3520 new cartridges not printing

HP Recommended
Android 4.3 Jelly Bean

Having just spent £27 of my 88 year old father's pension money to install a full set of brand new genuine HP ink cartridges for his Deskjet 3520 I am very disappointed that only the yellow cartridge prints. I have done all the trouble shooting and unblocked vent holes and still cannot even print an alignment page as it is only the yellow printing.

I have run the print head clean and still nothing. What can I do to remedy this?

Hi @OUBLIETT_E,

Good Day. Thanks for posting your query in the HP community. I read the post regarding issues with printing from your android device. I will be a pleasure to assist you here.

Commendable diagnosis, superb troubleshooting and splendid description of the issue before posting. Hats off to you on that score. 🙂

I would require more information regarding this to respond accurately.

  • Have you tried printing from a different device like a computer or a smartphone?
  • Did you try making a couple of copies from the Deskjet printer if it is a copier also?

For now please perform these steps:

  • Please perform a hard reset on the printer.
  • Then please make 2 copies in color directly from the printer.
  • If it copies correctly, then the issue is not with the printer.
  • Please uninstall the printing app from your android device and reinstall it from google play store.
  • If it is the HP all in one remote app uninstall it and reinstall it from google play store and check if it fixes the issue.
  • This link:  https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c03561640 gives you information about HP All in one remote app and FAQs about it. Please check it out.
  • If that is not the app that is being used try to install it and use it.
  • You could also uninstall and reinstall the HP print service plugin from this link: https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-deskjet-3520-e-all-in-one-printer-series/5162504/model/51625... and check if this does the trick for you.
  • It gives you information about the app and FAQs about it also.

If it still does not work, then please contact Hp phone support as there could be a hardware issue with the printer.

If it does not copy correctly, then please try all the steps from this link: https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/HP-Deskjet-3520-e-All-in-One-Printer/5162504/model/5162505/docu... and see if it fixes it.

Please perform all these steps patiently as it is critical to resolving the issue. The trick is to remain patient, please. Please note that I am not overloading you with a lot of troubleshooting steps.

Instead, just like you, I am eager to ensure that the problem gets resolved. So I am providing you with more resources and information at your disposal to deal with the situation better.

Hope this helps. Let me know how this goes. I genuinely hope the issue gets resolved without hassles and the unit works great.

To simply say thanks, please click the "Thumbs Up" button to give me a Kudos to appreciate my efforts to help. If this helps, please mark this as “Accepted Solution” as it will help several others with the same issue to get it resolved without hassles.

Take care now and have a splendid week ahead.
