Hello, please, send me too information about factory reset, thx

Would also like to request information on how to restore printer to factory setting. Seems that failed OTA update corrupted the firmware. Thanks

Hey there! @APO-PHIL, Thanks for stopping by HP forums!

I understand you need to know how to perform a factory reset on your printer.

Don't worry I'd like to help you out.

Did you make any changes to your printer?

Please try the steps recommended below.

Turn off the printer, if you can. Then unplug it from the wall and wait for it to shut itself down.

Then plug it back in, wait for few seconds and then push the start button.
The printer should have recycled itself.

Hope this helps!

Have a great day ahead! 🙂

Thank you for your advice.

Unfortunately we have tried it several times but with the same result. Printer still displays "ERROR CODE OXC4EB827F HW_MICCI2 C"

I'm hoping there's another way to rollback the firmware to factory settings.

@APO-PHIL, It's been great to hear from you again. I was indeed waiting for your response.

I appreciate your efforts for trying out the steps.

Please try the steps recommended below.

In some cases, removing the ink cartridges and resetting the printer can clear the error message.
Turn on the printer.
Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue.
Disconnect the USB cable from the rear of the printer. If your printer has a network or wireless connection, leave it connected.
Remove the ink cartridges from the printer.
With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer and from the wall outlet or power strip.
Wait at least 60 seconds.
Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
   NOTE:
HP recommends connecting the printer power cord directly to a wall outlet.
Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
Turn on the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.
The printer might go through a warm-up period. The printer lights might flash, and the carriage might move.
Wait until the warm-up period finishes and your printer is idle and silent before you proceed.
Reinsert the ink cartridges, and then close the ink cartridge access door.
If you receive a prompt to print a calibration page, do so.
If you disconnected the USB cable, reconnect it to the rear of the printer.
Try to print.

If the issue still persists it is certainly a hardware issue, please contact HP support for service options.

Have a pleasant day ahead!

Take Care! 🙂
