I want to earse any information reminaing in my printer. Now I understand that I can reset the printer based on the factory settings. The problem is that the printer has an issue which says "Missing or Failed Printhead" so I can it do it from the printer. I had this issue some months ago and I left the printer but now I am trying again. My understanding is that once the printer is off for 30 seconds then eventaully everything is gone, right?

Thanks in advance

Greetings @titotito

Welcome to HP Forums and Thanks for the post.

I understand that you are looking to erase any information that might be there in the printer, is that right?

Not to worry, I will be glad to help.

Yes, you are correct, restoring the printer to factory defaults will erase any settings or information on the printer.

Select Setup menu on the printer.

Select tools.

Scroll the to the bottom of the list and you will have an option to restore factory defaults.

This will restore the settings on the printer.

If there are any hardware issue on the printer. Like missing printhead, try the steps suggested in this HP Article

Let me know how it goes.
