Error message on printer

HP Recommended
Envy 4500
Microsoft Windows 8.1 (32-bit)

I recently replaced both of my cartridges with new HP cartridges.  I am now getting an error message that says "The following ink cartridges must be replaced"  I have installed them 2 or three tim with the same result.  Connections also have been cleaned and the system has been unplugged and re started.  All to no avail.  Don't know what to do next.  Any ideas?
