Laserjet 1300
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

Hi,

I have recently upgraded form Windows XP to WINDOWS 7 and then to Windows 10 Pro. I have HP lasejet 1300 printer. It was working fine with WINDOWS XP. I had problem of printing when I had Windos 7, but it was resolved by forcefully installing driver provided for XP rather than for WIndows 7.

 

Now after upgrading to WINDOWS 10, I am unable o print, although windows has automatically identified and installed the printer HP Laserjet 1300 PCL 6.

 

I have already tried updating the driver by dowloading it from HP site. But no success in printing.

When I send print command to this printer, I get Error Message in printer's que list and doument remain there with error. No data seems to be sent to printer. I have used troubelshot option already.

Please help.

OK. Problem is fixed in my case. I have chnaged the printer driver from auto select HP Laserjet 1300 PCL 6 to HP Laserjet 1300 PCL 5 

 

Now enjoying printing.

Go to devices and printers by searching for it then, select the printer right click go to hardware and choose driver then, update driver.

 

If this does not work you will need to get the driver from HP however i think they only have upto windows 8.1 64x bit driver.

 

Also windows 10 has some issues so this could interut the printer.

Sorry to inform that the problem is not yet resolved. Still same Error when print is sent to Printer (HP Laaserjet 1300)

So now this sounds like a windows 10 issue.

 

Unfortunately this might be able to be fixed however it would be to complex to explain.

 

Try find a local nerd or someone you can trust to log in with team viewer.
