Fax not listed under "Printers and Scanners"

I recently experienced a problem with my Envy 7640 printer  being offline.  I've had this problem in the past and resolved it by uninstalling and reinstalling the full HP software suite.  When I uninstall and reinstall now the "printer offline " issue seems to be resolved but the fax device is not listed in the list of printers.  I uninstalled/reinstalled severl times with no success.  Also selected "Run As Administrator" and no success.  The issue this causes is that I cannot fax a document that resides on the computer.  I believe I can fax manually by inserting a document in the document.  Any suggestions?

Can you see Fax at the front of your printer. I used this printer during 2015 (in Australia, its origin USA) and no Fax function listed.

Yes, the printer has a fax function.  I've used it previously.  My question is if I was in a word document and wished to fax it I could select file - print - and select the fax (machine) listed there but since there is no fax listed as an installed printer I must print the document first and then manually send the fax.  The fax had been listed as an installed printer until I uninstalled and reinstalled the software suite.
