Getting 40.C02 error after firmware upgrade to 48.250.8. (HPLJ M3035 MFP)

Since upgrading the firmware on the printer I receive message 40.C02 on the display with associated "246C 356992 Device Error" messages in the event log.  (Frequent automatic device reboots)  Losing communication with the printer frequently since the upgrade.  No communication issues prior to the upgrade.  (Possible TCP/IP stack errors on the printer?)   Note that the IP / Subnet Mask / Gateway have not changed. 

 

Anyone else have issues post upgrade?

Hi Joseph_B,

 

Did you try "Cold Reset"

if not try , this is steps:

To perform a cold reset
1 Turn the MFP off and then on.
2 When the memory count appears on the control-panel display, press and hold 6 until all three LEDs flash once and then stay on.
This might take up to 20 seconds.
3 Press 3 four times until COLD RESET appears on the control-panel display.
4 Press 6 one time. The MFP continues its initialization sequence.

Quick question - Does a "Cold Reset" take the machine back to factory defaults?

Since performing the cold reset I am not getting the 40.C02 messages anymore.  Unfortunatly the communications issues remain.  I think my only option at this point is to backlevel that firmware upgraded.  Can you assist or should this be a separate post.

Intermitant connection issues.  Persistant pings (ping -t) will stop responding then after several seconds/minutes start responding again.  None of these issues occured prior to the Firmware upgrade.

 

It's like the TCP/IP stack has issues.   

Checked tcp/ip settings and they are fine. (no change from b4 the fw upgrade) 

Gateway settings are fine.

 

The error code listed on the post was incorrect:  49.4C02 is the actual error.

(Do you happen to have an explaination of that code available)

try setup network on static IP address

and you can check if firmware on your printer is up today

go on web interface on your printer

go Networking tab

from left side go Other Settings

and from right side you will see Firmware Upgrade tab

check this ver.

download from HP web site latest ver. for your printer

you need file *.rfu

try Upgrade Firmware
