Any suggestions for the 6280?

All the color cartridges work, but the black one does not print out.  I changed the cartridge but it didn't help.  I've cleaned the cartridges using the set-up key, but to no avail.  What do you suggest?

Please read this post then provide some details.  

 

What printer model?  I would suggest reading the entire thread here, there are suggestions for models with integrated print heads (IPH) included on the ink cartrdiges as well as individual ink cartrdiges (IIC) with separate printheads.

I have an HP Photosmart 8150, I have changed the black ink cartridge, printed a test page going through the printer.  When I went to print a document the black would not print, yet it will print on the test page.  I have gone through the software (MSWord) to double check the settings.  Any recommendations or suggestions?  Thank you.

HP printer C310a---couple months old.. replaced original black #564 ink cartridge last week.. did some printing in black-worked fine. next time printer wouldn;t print in black..Like out of ink...which is not true  almost full yet.   removed cart. turned off printer etc.    then my new document printed ok.....now today I wanted to print a statement.   now doesn't work again...I leave the printer turned on....Is this the reason it doesn't print again.....this is a real pain....I have another HP printer in MN.  Model 6100 series....have had no problems with it....Reason why I purchased this new HP printer while here in TX..... Please solve this mystery now.......I use my printer  on a regular basis and here reliability.....   Thanks  Ron

HP printer Model C310a is a poor printer or maybe its just the 564 black ink cartridges.... have turn off printer each time before a print job....otherwise is prints like out of ink.   have no problem like this with my HP C6100 series Photosmart at my other office.......    printer two months old,first replacement of reg. black #564 cartridge..... and its has problems....had to believe its

The Black ink does not print.   I have replaced it with a new one; still doesn't print.   All the color cartridges do print fine.   I have followed instructions on the Set-Up key to "clean the printing cartridges."   Still does not work.  I have not removed the black cartridge and cleaned it manually.  Is that called for? Or is there some other method.

I can't seem to get a reply to this question.  This is the 3rd time I've submitted it.   Sorry for the repetition!

The black ink will not print - only the colored ones do.    I replaced it with a new black cartridge.  Still does not work.   I've followed directions on the SET-UP key to clean the printing and cartridges; still not working.   I have not cleaned the cartridge manually.  Is that required?  Please advise.     Thank you.

I have Deskjet 3745. When I detected that the print out had a few breaks in black characters (even though the ink level indicator showed 2/3 full), I replaced the ink cartridge with a new one.  Since then, I cannot print any documents in black (with the old nor the new black cartridge).  My color cartridge prints fine.  Please Help...
