HP 6500 all in one. Doesn't like to copy unless connected to a computer.

HP Recommended

When not connected to a computer will only copy about 6 copies then gets stripy and then blank as it pretends to copy.

Is this thing supposed to be a stand alone because there is nothing in the literature that says one way or the other?

Seems to work when connected.

Hi,

Copying in standalone mode should not be an issue.

What you are describing does not seem to be related to the copying function.  Here is a link to a troubleshooting document for the 6500 which may help you solve your issue.

I hope that this helps.
