Hello Ove,

Here is the troubleshooting article for the HP B109n Print Quality issues.

Troubleshooting Print Quality Issues

Although several things may be causing the issue it may be something such as the grey scale setting is turned on. I'll outline that specific section in the article here:

Step two: Check the Print in Grayscale setting

  1. Open the Print dialog box

  2. Windows XP: Click File , and then click Print . The Print dialog box opens.
  3. Windows Vista: Click the Windows icon ( ), move the cursor to Print , and then click Print . The Print dialog box opens.
  4. Select your product, and then click Properties . The printer Properties dialog box opens.
  5. Choose the correct tab to find the setting

  6. Windows XP: Click the Features tab.
  7. Windows Vista: Click the Color tab.
  8. Under Color Options , make sure that Print in grayscale is not selected.
  9. Click OK , and then click OK again to start the print job.
  • If these steps resolved the issue , you do not need to continue troubleshooting.
  • If the issue persists , continue to the next solution.

Hello Ove

Did you try the Print Quality article provided by HardBeatz as well? I have a few questions and suggestions. Most of these are covered in the Print Quality article.

  • Are you using Genuine HP cartridges or refilled/remanufactured cartridges?
  • How are the ink levels?
  • What application are you printing from?
  • You may want to try the HP Print and Scan Doctor: http://www.hp.com/go/tools.

Don't forgot to say thanks by giving "Kudos" to those that help solve your problems.

When a solution is found please mark the post that solves your issue.
