HP Deskjet 3051A/Installing Printer Driver online

I am trying to install a printer driver without the disc (lost it) on a Toshiba laptop with Windows 8.  I had a virus on my computer and it knocked everything out.  I have an HP Deskjet 3051A. Every time I try to download it online, it says it doesn't have a wireless connection but my wifi is working.  PLEASE HELP!!!!!

Re: HP Deskjet 3051A/Installing Printer Driver online

When you download the driver form the Website please save it and don't click on Run.

Save it on the Desktop and than start the installation

Is the Wireless light on the Printer Solid or it is blinking

If it is blinking first you need to install the Printer using the USB cord

Once the Printer installation is done, you can convert the USB connection to Wireless

You can do that by (once the Printer is installed through the USB connection)

Click on WIndows icon (Start Button)

Go to All Programs > HP Folder> HP Deskjet 3510A Folder

And look for Printer Setup and Software

It you should give you three options

Selec the one that says Convert USB to Wireless and follow the onscreen instruction
