Solved!

HP Deskjet F380

HP Recommended

I have a deskjet F380 which has given me wonderful service. 4 days ago it stopped talking to my computer or at least the printing side of it did as I can still scan documents in. I am not particularly computer savvy but I have tried re-installing the drivers and software which came with the printer. It can print a test page manually so it is obviously in full working order and I have been through the whole gamut of the online assistance and it has given up on me 🙂 The LPT1 port is obviously working properly as I can still scan and save documents but I am the director of a local business and the printing side is the most important to me............ Help!!!

Hello daiwright ,

Performe the following steps... We are  trying to install the generic drivers for this printer.

May i know the operating system on the PC ?

Meanwhile you may try the below steps...

Add a printer . then, Add a local printer > Next , then Use an existing port,    select the "Virtual USB Printing port ), then NEXT from the "Manufacturer list", select HP and from the "Printers" list select "HP Deskjet F380 series " and click NEXT Complete the wizard. Then try printing. Let me know if it prints.

my printer has stopped working with my vista laptop.  It photocopies but when trying to print off word or internet pages it says there is no printer installed.  When checking printers on control panel it is set as default printer.  I have tried to re install it  and it is successfully installed as f300 series (copy 1) but will still not print not even a test print.  Can anyone help?

My printer gives a 'paper jam ' message - there is no paper in works! How do I fix?
