HP Envy 5020
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

I was asked by a customer to setup her HP Envy 5020. She had tried to do it but failed and the display panel was showing the following error "ERROR CODE 0xc4eb8004" and all the lights/icons were blinking constantly.

I performed a hard reset several times but allways the same error. The print head does not move out on opening the lid so I could not remove and reinsert the inks.  It is the original install inks that came with the printer.

I have googled the error and found a few other with the same problem but no solutions.

Any suggestions welcome.

Hello, I've got same problem as described. I've toched on/off button and The ligths are now fixed (only help and blue led). Is the printer broken? I've just purchased it.

Thanks in advance!
