HP Envy 5540 All In One printer will not print at all, or copy. I've installed new cartridges, etc.

ERROR Message:  Ink Cartridge Problem:  Remove & reinstall indicated ink cartridge, making sure it is correctly installed, & then touch OK.

I've put two new cartridges in & it still won't print. I've followed all available options online, & it stilll doesn't work.  Any ideas?

Thanks so much.

Hi @Meal1,

Welcome to HP Forums, this is a great place to get support, find answers and tips.

Thank you for posting your query, I'll be more than glad to help you.

I understand that you get an "Ink Cartridge Problem" error message on your HP ENVY 5540 All-in-One Printer.

This issue could occur if the electrical contacts on the cartridge or the printer are defective.

Let's go through a few steps to troubleshoot this issue.

And here's the step by step guide for you in the link: 'Cartridges Missing' or 'Ink Cartridges Problem' Message Displays

If it is black or a color cartridge, you may try printing in a single cartridge mode by installing any one cartridge at a time.

Let me know how this works.

You have a good day ahead.
