HP Envy 7640
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My Printer is printing emails and off the internet in double vision.  It is blurry.  I've tried alignment, cleaning printheads and replacing the cartridges.  Not sure what else to try.

This did not help, it is still printing emails and some internet stuff blurry.  For example, I opened an email and can read it fine, it is clear, but when I right click and choose print, the print page that comes up with the options is  blurry, and it prints blurry.  Not sure if this is a problem with a windows setting?

Hi @ aussy,

Thank you for your reply, I'll be more than glad to help you.

I understand that the issue still persists after following the steps provided in the previous interaction.

Please let us know if the Print Quality Diagnostic report printed fine or not.

If the Print Quality Diagnostic report printed fine, then you need to update the firmware from the link: Firmware Update

If the Print Quality Diagnostic report is also blurry, then it could be a hardware issue with the cartridge or the printer.

Let me know if this works.

You have a good day ahead.

The diagnostic report was fine.  I also tried to update firmware, and it says "up to date".

This issue could occur if the drivers are not installed properly.

Let's go through a few steps to uninstall and reinstall the drivers:

Please follow the steps provided to uninstall the printer software in the link: Uninstalling the Printer Software (Windows)

Also, please follow the steps provided below to completely remove the printer software from printer properties.

    • Press WINDOWS-R on the keyboard to bring up the Run window, type in 'printui /s /t2' (without the quotes), and then press Enter or click OK.
    • From the Start menu or the Start screen:

    • Select any printer and then click "Print server properties" at the top of the window.
