HP LJ 1320
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Is HP LJ 1320 compatible with Windows 10 64-bit with either USB or Ethernet?  Tried using a universal print driver, though no luck.

My Laserjet 1320n is network-connected (using a standard TCP/IP port) , and works OK on my Windows 10 Pro 64-bit system.

I have two printer instances set up (originally for testing purposes, but retained both):

  • One with a PCL5 driver - I can't remember where this came from - perhaps Windows Update?

  • The other uses version 6.2 of the PCL6 (PCL XL) UPD.

I've also had the printer working with a USB port, rather than the TCP/IP port, earlier in the year.

How about USB drivers for Windows 10 bit?
HP Recommended

As far as the printer driver is concerned, it doesn't usually matter whether the target device is connected via a USB port, or an Ethernet port.

Windows may need USB drivers to configure/connect UB ports - not my area of expertise, sorry.

I've only ever used USB ports for printing when testing a few features - I usally use wired ethernet connections.0
