HP LaserJet Pro M227fdw WIA Error in HP Print & Scan Dr 5.0, Crashes Adobe Acrobat
05-19-2017 11:52 PM

The HP LaserJet Pro M227fdw scanner only seems to work with the HP Twain software.
It crahes Adobe Acrobat X.
When I try to fix the scanner using the HP Print & Scan Dr, I get a WIA Scan Error.
Suggestions?

ShlomiL,
I greatly appreciate your assistance. Sorry for my late response.
I went through your instructions in the other thread. Shell Detection now appears in WIA properties.
When I attempted to scan from Acrobat, it asked me to pick a scanner, which it had never done before. After picking a scanner, it seemed to work properly. The paper was scanned from the auto-feeder.
After 3 or 4 minutes of watching a progress bar, this error appeared, "An unrecoverable error has occurred. Operation stopped."
Any further advice?
