OfficeJet Pro 8740
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Have an OfficeJet Pro 8740 that won't clear the print spoller after printing is complete. Have to run the Print Doctor after every other print. Have stopped & restarted the print spoller and cleared the "Printer" folder. These will fix the problem but it keeps recurring. ANY help is appreciated.  Tks GW

Take a look at step #4 in this support doc.

Thanks.

Followed the steps in the support doc and the fix was, unfortunately, a temporary one. Print sessions still get stuck.

Running the print doctor after every print session (twice) is the only thing working at the moment.

Did you try reinstalling the HP software? (link)

Did you run the Windows system file checker?

Check the printer firmware, latest is WEBPDLPP1N001.1709A.00 (link)
