Hi @Suthers,

Thanks for becoming an HP community member.  🙂 A very good day to you. 🙂 I reviewed the post regarding the officejet printer, not printing. I will be glad to assist you with this. 🙂

Superb description and excellent diagnosis of the issue before posting. Kudos to you on that score. 🙂 You are a valued HP customer and I take it as a privilege to share this platform with you. 🙂

For better clarity and to assist you better, I would require more information regarding this.

  • Did this happen after a power outage or power surge?
  • Have you bypassed power strips and connected the printer directly to the wall outlet?
  • Did you make a few copies directly from the printer to eliminate hardware issues with it?

For a start please perform these steps:

  • Please perform a hard reset.
  • Then bypass power strips.
  • Please make a few copies directly from the printer without any communication from the computer.
  • If it copies fine we could uninstall and reinstall the printer drivers and check again.
  • If it does not copy, then clean the cartridges and replace them. If it still does not work, Then the printer may have a hardware issue and either the cartridges or the printer needs to be replaced.

How to perform a hard reset:

How to make a few copies directly from the printer:

  • Please try to make a few copies directly from the printer without any intervention from the computer. Please place the required document face down on the flatbed scanner and touch the copy button. If it copies fine, then the issue could be software related.

If it copies fine please run the print scan doctor utility. PSDR

If it fails to copy:

If it does not print,  then contact HP phone support to get the unit or cartridges replaced.

  • Step 1. Open link: www.hp.com/contacthp/
  • Step 2. Enter Product number or select to auto detect
  • Step 3. Scroll down to "Still need help? Complete the form to select your contact options"
  • Step 4. Scroll down and click: HP contact options - click on Get phone number, Case number and phone number appear.

They will be happy to assist you immediately. If the unit is under warranty repair services is taken care of by the manufacturer’s warranty

Please keep me posted. I will keep a watch for your reply. Please perform these steps diligently and patiently. This should do the trick for you.

Hope this helps.  Let me know how this goes. I genuinely hope the issue gets resolved without hassles and the unit works great. 🙂  Please reach out for any issues and I'll be there to assist you.  🙂

To simply say thanks, please click the "Thumbs Up" button to give me a Kudos to appreciate my efforts to help.

If this helpsplease mark this as “Accepted Solution” as it will help several others with the same issue to get it resolved without hassles. 🙂

Take care now and have a splendid week ahead. 🙂
