HP Officejet 4500 G510g-m will not print black

Hi,

I have an HP Officejet 4500 G510g-m which I bought about 2 years ago.  All of a sudden, it will not print from the black cartridge. The color works fine.  I've tried replacing the cartridge, cleaning the printerheads multiple times, copying to see if it will print a copy in black and printing from multiple types of documents (word, pdf..). Nothing works. It ill not print the alignemnt sheet or any of the diagnostic reports that are in black.  I am running Windows 7.  Any suggestions other than getting it serviced?

Never did get it to work; all of the diagnostic tests failed :(.  New printer time...

I'm having the same problem.

 

Can you tell us the actual steps.  I can't fnid any reference on the link.  It might have changed since you posted it.

The troubleshooting steps in the document here may help resolve black not printing on your Officejet 4500 g510g.
