HP Officejet 5510 Error flashing 0xf0af8004

After a momentary power outage and restore during storm the following message is flashing Error:0xf0af8004 Tried to poweroff with button and disconnected power supply for a few minutes but it is till flashing and cannot use the printer?

Hi,

It looks like to tried some of the troubleshooting. The only other troubleshooting to try and clear up this message (also included in this document)

Leaving the printer turned on, unplug the USB cable from the back of the printer, remove the cartridges, wait for the "insert cartridges" message to show, and then unplug power cord from back of the printer. Wait 60 seconds and then plug the power cord back in. If the printer doesn't turn on automatically, press the on button. This allow the printer to go through its resetting cycle and should prompt you to insert the cartridges and print an alignment page.

Thanks for the suggestion but I had seen that tip and already tried it. I believe it's time for new printer! 6 years old...

0xf0af8004 error. tried unplugging usb cable, printer cartidges, no help - please HELP

Tried all of the steps on HP site. There must be a simplier solution rather than paying HP tech just because I have no warranty.
