Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Evver since I changed to Windows 10 my printer won't scan. It worked fine with Windows 7. Now when I try to scan something I get a note that says "The scan cannot be performed because another program or computer is using the networkedHP imaging device.Try again later."

I am connected wirelessly and can print a document from my computer and can copy documents at the printer. I can fax from the printer. I can't scan from the printer or computer.

Thanks for using the HP Forums.

Can you download and install the FULL feature printer software from HP for your operating system:

 

The following resource will help you :

http://123.hp.com/us/en/

Key in your printer model, Operating System and download & install the FULL feature software.

Once you have downloaded and installed the FULL feature software, you will be able to print and scan.

I can scen now using the "Windows scan and fax feature" but following your past instruction did not work

Can you try the HP All in One Remote apps?  It has the HP Scan and Capture apps.

 

This resource will show you how to download and install the apps.
