HP Officejet 6830 printhead malfunction

HP OfficeJet Pro 6830
Mac OS X 10.10 Yosemite

I keep getting an printhead error message and I seemed to be blocked from doing anything automatically to fix it. I put in brand new HP ink cartridges but that didn't help. I restarted the machine. Didn't help. I am paying monthly for unlimited printing ink and so very frustrating as I havent been able to print for over a week. Any thoughts. I see others have this problem.
