HP OfficeJet Pro 6960
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Trying to install the cd programs for the HP OfficeJet Pro 6960, but can't find the device. The printer is install and working.  It is on a wired home network, I have tried looking for it by name and IP address of the printer, but no luck.  Any help?

@Dragon2525

Welcome to the HP Forums 🙂

I would like to take a moment and thank you for using this forum, it is a great place to find answers.

As I understand you've got the printer working on a wired connection, however, it doesn't get detected on a wireless network,

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:

Have you set up a wireless network with a printer before?

Did you attempt to reinstall drivers?

While you respond to that, here's a few things you should do:

Step 1: Prepare for installation

Before setting up the printer on your wireless network, gather the network name and password, and turn on your router, printer, and computer.

Step 2: Connect to the wireless network

Connect the printer to your network with the Wireless Setup Wizard so the HP installer can find the printer during the installation.

Step 3: Download and install the driver

Download and install the most current version of your printer’s full feature software from the HP website.

If an Auto Wireless Connect screen displays while installing, use it to complete the wireless setup. Otherwise, follow the guided steps in the installation software to complete the setup.
