Solved!

HP Officejet 8610 All-in-One only prints part of an image when using photographic paper

HP Officejet 8610 All-in-One
Windows 8.1

I am having problems printing to photo paper. Photos print properly if printed on normal, plain paper but as soon as I specify that the paper is "Other Photo Papers", only part of the photo is printed and I get a message saying that there was an error printing. In fact, it says that it couldn't print even though part of the photo does print.

This happens whether I use plain paper of photo paper using that setting. Obviously, I want to use photo paper for the setting. Also, changing the quality from normal to best quality makes no difference.

I tried to see if I could print the photo on photo paper using plain paper settings but two pages are printed on: a bit on the photographic paper and more on the plain paper.

Please help

Thanks

Hi,

Is the printer connected via USB or through the network?

For network connection, the following hotfix from Microsoft should help resolving a such:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/3000461

Please let me know if that helps, otherwise clarify further.
