If your new router is AT&T, read this:  http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03112838

You will need to re-run the HP software to re-install the printer to your new network.

Can you see the name from your wifi router in the screen from your printer?

Huh?  You can see the wireless network name (SSID) on the printer's Wirelss Network Test page, but it will not indicate the brand/model of router.

I am not sure what you are asking, sorry.

i have similar issue with C4780 on Verizon FIOS, but with router Westell, Model A90-9100EM15-10 (H/W Rev c).

Printer was woking fine for months, then one week printer stopped working; I can't print from any of three laptops.  Verizon said not their issue, but I've checked everything - even trying to reinstall divers.  I'm sure printer is on network as the router assigns an IP and printer reflects same IP in printer network settings.

Issue is not an antivirus issue, as 1 of 3 computers has different antivirus (2 Norton's and 1 Bit defender - tried latter to rule out antivirus).

Any ideas?

Quick amend: This is on Windows 7.

First, restart the router by pulling its power cord momentarily.  Does that fix the problem?

If not, let's set a static IP address for the printer:

- Print a Network Config Page from the front of the printer. Note the printer's IP address.
- Type that IP address into a browser to reveal the printer's internal settings.
- Choose the Networking tab, then Wireless along the left side, then the IPv4 tab.
- On this screen you want to set a Manual IP. You need to set an IP address outside the range that the router automatically sets (called the DHCP range). If you do not know the range, change the last set of numbers (those after the last '.') to 250
- Use 255.255.255.0 for the subnet (unless you know it is different, if so, use that)
- Enter your router's IP (on the Network Config Page) for the gateway.
- Enter 8.8.8.8 for the first DNS and 8.8.4.4 for the second DNS.
- Click 'Apply'.

Now, shut down the router and printer, start the router, wait, then start the printer.

After this you may need to redo 'Add a Printer' using the new IP address.

OMG!!! I've spent a week trying to figure out how to get my printer to print wirelessly! It used to work great on my brother's router and now on my new AT&T one it won't work! The printer keeps freezing up so that the buttons on it don't respond. I have a Photosmart C4780 and my router is a Motorola 12VDC. It's a combined modem & router same as my brother's was. I got it from at&t and I have mac osx10.7 operating system.

I uninstalled HP completely & re-installed all the drivers & software. I keep getting this message every time I run the setup wizard "The device could not access the wireless network "ATT968". Please make sure your Wireless Access point is working correctly and is in range of your device, or choose another network." I'm not computer savy at all and I tried many of the suggestions you have on these various HP troubleshooting pages 😞 Nothing works!

When I run a configuration page it says the hardware address (MAC) is disconnected!

I recently moved and upgraded my router to the Netgear N750. The HP Phtotsmart C4780 cannot be found on my network. I lost the USB cord in the move and have tried to re-install the software with no luck of the printer being found. I am at a loss on what to do next. Help!
